Pirovac is situated on north coast of  Pirovac bay, a natural phenomenon, which is 10 kilometers drawn into the rock with the attractive Mediterranean vegetation.

A private accommodation overcomes, but guests also have a hotel complex with villas, bungalows, camp site with all acompanying contents at their disposal.
Pirovac is surrounded by two national parks: Krka and Kornati. Tourists are attracted here by coves Sitnica, Vrulje, Vrilo (with its gravel beaches) Makrina where findings of healing mud that is used for thalassotherapy were found and beautiful lake called Vransko Jezero, known as a place where some of the most unknown and the most exotic birds live.

Owning to the stream which circulates around the bay, the water here is approximately 3 to 4 grades Celsius warmer than average along the Adriatic coast.
Along the bay of Pirovac there are many inlets, sandy beaches and the islet of St. Stephen ( Sustipanac ) situated westwards. Pirovac is ideal starting point for unforgettable excursions to the Kornati archipelago and river Krka.
It is very exciting place to spend your holidays, and also a place where you definitely cannot get bored. The biggest advantages of this little town are beaches with the warmest and the cleanest sea in the world.

Pirovac was first mentioned in the year 1298 and was known as Zloselo. It belonged to the noblemen from Bribir - the Subic family and later it became the property of the Sibenik Diocese and some noblemen from Sibenik.

The settlement itself was founded in the 15th ct. by the refugees who fled from the Turks. Nevertheless, this area was inhabited many centuries earlier than that which can be proved by the remnants of the Roman settlements found on the islet of St.Stephen. Many other historical monuments tell us about the gradual settlement and development of this place.

57 jedrilica sudjelovalo u šestom izdanju noæne regate 
Jabuku je prva okrenula posada Darka Prižmiæa, samo pet-šest minuta poslije ona Šime Stipanièeva, a treæa je bila posada Roberta Sandaliæa

Impresivan je bio noæni prizor èak s 57 jedrilica koje su se našle na startu ispred Vodica u 6. izdanju puèinske regate “Jabuka 2008.”

Startalo se u 22.05, a osvijetljena flota izgledala je poput ploveæega grada sve dok se nakon prve kontrolne toèke kod Komorice nisu pomalo raštrkali, slijedeæi svaki svoju strategiju i svoju sreæu po levantu od oko 20 èvorova do iste toèke: vulkanske hridi Jabuke.

Na samoj Jabuci ove su godine bili uvjeti teži nego ikad: sudarali su se valovi od juga, levanta, rebatajice od hridi, nigdje pedlja mira za posadu broda Luèke kapetanije Šibenik u kojem su bili i suci regate.

U 2.37, dakle nakon èetiri i pol sata od starta i nakon 47 prijeðenih milja, Jabuku je prva okrenula posada Darka Prižmiæa, samo pet-šest minuta poslije posada Šime Stipanièeva, a u 3.23 Gringo II i posada Roberta Sandaliæa.

S nekoliko minuta razlike Jabuku su meðu prvima još okrenule posade Vlade Moæana, Nevena Dragišèeviæa te Luke Šangulina i Tonka Rameše. Posljednji brod do Jabuke je stigao u 7.05 sati, dakle nekih èetiri i pol sata nakon prvoga. Ove je godine sudjelovalo èak 16 slovenskih posada, zatim posade iz Èeške, Maðarske, Italije i Crne Gore.

Noæni levanat danju je okrenuo na buru koja je slabjela prema zadnjoj kontrolnoj toèki kod Blitvenice. Najbrži brod regate – i ne prvi put na Jabuci – bio je “Adria Azia” Darka Prižmiæa, koji je u cilj u Vodicama ušao tek malo prije posade Šime Stipanièeva.

“Jabuku” je odlièno organizirao sa svim mjerama sigurnosti Jedrilièarski klub “Tijat” iz Vodica u suradnji s Luèkom kapetanijom. Vodice su tri dana živjele s regatom i njezinih nekoliko stotina jedrilièara.

Ova zahtjevna zimska regata uistinu postaje velika jadranska sportska atrakcija.
